Visual Identity for Folklore Museum of Alzira/ Valencia, 2021
This visual identity was designed for a cultural center housed in a traditional home, which functions as an extension of the Municipal Museum of Alzira. The building itself is a vital exhibit — a preserved space that reflects local domestic life, craftsmanship, and vernacular architecture.
The design draws directly from the visual language already present within the space. I took inspiration from original patterns still visible on decorative elements such as tiles, wooden details, and interior textures. These motifs were reinterpreted graphically to create a visual system that feels authentic yet contemporary.
The color palette was derived from the building’s materials — ceramics, stone, painted walls, and wood — grounding the identity in the space’s physical and historical reality. At the same time, it maintains a visual connection with the main museum, ensuring coherence across the broader institutional identity.
This project bridges the tangible heritage of everyday life with modern visual communication, creating an identity that honors the past while inviting new cultural activity.
